How do the window covers attach/fit?
Please see these videos for a quick and simple explanation!...
Windscreen and Cab doors: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CT9TD9fICMZ/
Rear area windows: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Czecdr4oX_R/
Please note that most models no longer come with a press stud attachment because I now add fibreglass poles into the windscreen cover to provide more structure and therefore the press studs are usually no longer required.
For windows which have wooden or aluminium surrounds I can either supply you with 10mm self adhesive magnetic dots (which are black so they blend into the frame) and that gives the magnets in the blinds something to 'grab' onto, the magnets are very small but the strongest you can get!
Or we can use press studs and then I supply you with the corresponding screws for you to add to your frame - these come in black, silver or brass, I’ve attached photos.
For roof vent covers - I can supply you with self adhesive magnets which go on top of or under your trim.
Fitting guides are provided with every order of this type.
My windows don't have any metal around the edge, non standard or boxed in, can you still make covers for me?
Yes! There is always a solution, including self adhesive magnets, press studs and even suction cups, please email info@wanderbug.co.uk with photos and I can advise further.
What are your window covers made of?
Over the last 5 years I've experimented and tested lots of materials to find the best combinations to give you the ultimate quality campervan window cover blinds.
Although there are cheaper alternatives available these days, they won't give you the same highly effective heat reflective and thermal properties that are essential for keeping your camper warm or cool, depending on the season.
Windscreen and cab covers have a layer of the highest quality 5mm reflective foil radiant insulation foam, (please see details on the pic below) with an outer layer of black waterproof ripstop nylon which is thin enough for the sun's rays to penetrate and still reflect off the radiant barrier, plus a high quality interior fabric of your choice - I stock several upholstery fabrics and custom printed cottons and you can also supply your own fabric (as long as it's not too thick/heavy or stretchy!) or I can help you find a suitable fabric to match your vans interior.
Some customers also request for their main interior blinds to be made with this foam too, if so please get in touch.

Main interior window covers (side door/rear barn doors etc) are the same as above but instead of the foam they have a layer of reflective double sided foil bubble insulation plus a layer of Vlieseline Thermolam Compressed Fleece which has excellent insulation properties - this combination is more pliable but has fantastic reflective and insulation qualities - they are like a thermal blanket for your windows!
Can you add straps and clips to roll the blinds up?
Yes! I've made lots of window covers and screens with webbing straps and buckles, plus faux leather straps with press studs are also a popular option.
There are lots of colours available so please get in touch so I can come up with a solution for you.

Do you have the template for my van model?
I have templates for some or all windows of the most popular vans including:
Sprinter & Crafter (07 - 2018) | Crafter 2018 onwards & MAN TGE | Sprinter 2019 onwards | Ducato, Relay, Boxer, Ram Promaster | Ford Transit MK8 (2013 onwards) | Ford Transit MK7 (2000 - 2012)| VW LT (1998 - 2005) | Movano & Master 2003 - 2009 | Movano & Master 2010 onwards | VW T25 | VW T4 | VW T5 & T6 | Ford Transit Custom | Renault Trafic & Vauxhall Vivaro 2014-2019 | Citroen Berlingo/Peugeot partner
Additionally, I can usually make covers using photos and measurements if the shape is fairly simple.
Alternatively I may ask you to provide a template for the window, which can be made with paper, cardboard, bubble foil or whatever you can find!
Where are you based?
Wanderbug is a family business run by Becki with a bit of help from family here and there!
The business is run from a garden workshop (aka The Treehouse) in Halesowen, UK - as this is also our home, for security reasons the address isn't on the website but is available on request.
Occasionally customers prefer to collect and if you'd like to do so please let me know.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Regrettably, due to GPRS rules that came into affect in December 2024, we can no longer ship to countries within the EU (weirdly this includes Northern Ireland).
If the situation changes we will look to change our policy on this but sadly at the moment it's just not a viable option for us as a small business.
We still ship to US and Canada and Australia, your shipping charge will be calculated at the checkout, please be aware of Tariff rules and costs that you may be liable for once the parcel arrives in the destination country.
Please see the postage page here for full details... Postage and packaging
Can I cancel my unfulfilled order?
Every time an order is placed I get charged transaction fees (approx 3%) - if I process a refund for you, I still have to pay those fees. As a small business these can add up so I may have to factor this in to your refund amount, please bear this in mind if you request a refund.
